The SmartRocker/SmartBag platform is designed for R&D and cGMP scale-up of cell growth processes. SmartBag, a bioprocess container, can be retrofitted for use with most rocker platform trays, or it may be used with the SmartRocker. The SmartRocker tray’s rocking motion can be adjusted from a smooth waveform (reducing shear force for sensitive cell lines) to an aggressive motion (increasing oxygen transfer for cells having high oxygen consumption). Each Smartbag holds an embedded SensorPuck™. This device consists of three sensors (pH, dissolved oxygen, and temperature) that monitor cell growth for up to 21 days.
