The PowerMag™ Microbiome RNA/DNA isolation kit is designed for automated, hands-free purification of nucleic acids from stool, biosolids, and gut material using the Eppendorf epMotion® automated pipetting system. It features bead-based lysis for uniform representation of the nucleic acid population, as well as Inhibitor Removal Technology® for removal of PCR inhibitors commonly found in stool or gut material (for example, lipids, polysaccharides, and heme) to eliminate false negatives in downstream applications such as qPCR. It also features ClearMag™ technology, or magnetic beads designed with a coating that enables hands-free purification of nucleic acids in a high-throughput format.
