The Applied Biosystems® Protein Thermal Shift™ Software and Reagent Kits Protein Thermal Shift™ assay is a new application for Applied Biosystems® real-time PCR systems that enables analysis of protein thermal stability. Complete with reagents and software, this product line also enables 384-well format high-throughput screening of ligand–protein binding for drug discovery, optimization of buffer conditions that promote protein stability for production and crystallization, and the effect of mutations or modifications on a protein’s thermal stability. The Protein Thermal Shift assay workflow typically takes from 0.5–2 hours for 96–384 samples per plate, depending on the system and run conditions used.
