Microscopy Camera

The Rolera Thunder EMCCD microscopy camera is designed for quantitative low-light fluorescence microscopy. It is useful for life science applications such as super resolution (STORM, PALM), single-molecule fluorescence, and FRAP. The Rolera Thunder features a back-illuminated 16 µm pixel, 512 x 512 EMCCD sensor for >90% peak quantum efficiency, low read noise (<1e-), and high speed (385+ fps with binning). The camera’s sensitivity allows for short exposure times, which facilitates data acquisition and temporal resolution. The ability to quantify research using the camera’s linearized EM Gain and onboard EM calibration technology circumvents the aging process, which can hinder the quantification capabilities of some other EM cameras.
