Light-Scattering Detectors

The 1290 Infinity and 1260 Infinity evaporative light-scattering detectors are suited for the analysis of non- and semi-volatile compounds in pharmaceutical, drug discovery, QA/QC, and other forms of analysis. Both can screen pharmaceutical compound libraries without sample preparation because they reduce interference from DMSO, and both complement the 6100 series of mass spectrometer systems. The new laser-based 1290 Infinity ELSD features an evaporator design coupled with gas-flow programming that allows sub-ambient analysis of semi-volatile compounds. The 1260 Infinity ELSD provides performance based on an LED light source and evaporator design. A standby mode helps conserve energy as well as reduced nitrogen gas consumption by 50% to 75%.
