The nCounter® Leukemia Fusion Gene Panel can be used for analysis of fusion genes linked to leukemia. The new tool is intended to aid the ability of cancer researchers to characterize these genetic abnormalities. This multiplexed assay covers 25 specific isoforms from seven fusion gene families associated with three types of leukemia: acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, and acute lymphocytic (lymphoblastic) leukemia. The assay is compatible with a variety of specimens, including archived formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples, thus it can help reduce hands-on time and requires less technical expertise than some other analysis methods.
