The light bulbs are guaranteed for 20,000 hours of service. Four suction cup feet hold the unit firmly to the lab counter top during procedures. The unit features a clear plastic tail insertion cone, useful for rodents weighing from 15 up to 500 grams. It also has a formed white plastic base containing the batteries, power switch, and lights. The base is used for recharging batteries, of which two are included with system, as well as an electrical plug for recharging batteries (100 to 240 Volt capacity).
