Cell Applications

Gastrointestinal (GI) epithelial cells allow researchers to investigate human intestinal, colonic, and gastric epithelial cell physiology, tight junction function and associated diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), GI infection, and gastric and colon cancer. These epithelial cells can be efficiently used for high-throughput screening and testing of potential drug compounds, disease modeling, and discovering new GI disease modulators to study GI disease mechanisms. GI epithelial cells can be seeded and maintained in GI media for a week for cell-based validation assays such as drug metabolism studies, cytotoxicity assays, gene-expression profiling, and other GI-related research applications.
