The impact HD™ works well for applications where trace analysis from complex, high-background matrices is a challenge, such as biomarker research, identification of impurities, or residue screening. With broad mass-transfer ion optics and 50 Gbit/sec sampling technology, a dynamic range of five orders of magnitude can be achieved in one second of LC time, making possible high-resolution detection of low-abundance compounds in sharp UHPLC peaks and permitting direct quantitation without rerun. The HD performance is directed by Instant Expertise™ software. MS/MS acquisition parameters can be adapted to the incident sample, independent of sample amount or complexity.
