Summary:

Users of the Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 2000/2000c spectrophotometers now have a convenient way to look at their data on the go. The NanoDrop User Application for the iPad allows users to import, view, and analyze data workbooks from the spectrophotometer. Thus, you can easily compare absorption curves from multiple experiments or samples, for examples. Users need only email the data workbooks to themselves and open the attachments on their iPad to import the data into the app. Once multiple data files have been overlaid or displayed within the app, users can then email resulting screenshots. In addition to the data viewer, the app includes the technical literature library pertaining to the NanoDrop–—a very useful thing to have on hand—as well as some relevant conversion calculators. Overall, the NanoDrop User Application is a well-designed and useful app for researchers who already use this piece of equipment in their work.
