The Sartopore® 2 0.1 μm XLM filter is for sterilizing-grade and Mycoplasma-retentive filtration of serum-free, hydrolysate-supplemented, and fully chemically defined cell culture media. These PES filters feature an asymmetric 0.2 µm nominal prefilter membrane coupled with an increased surface area of 0.8 m2 per 10” cartridge. The final membrane is the same as that used in the Mycoplasma-retentive Sartopore 2 0.2/0.1 µm PES filters. This new membrane combination has shown good total throughput performance in several different cell culture media.
