GenomeQuest and Servier Develop Software that Integrates Biological Data Sets
Firms created a system to view and analyze sets of gene transcripts and biological assays.
GenomeQuest and Servier have produced a system that optimizes experimental study design and analysis by providing a simple way to view and examine the exhaustive set of transcripts and biological assays for a gene.
The results are part of a collaboration to connect results from high-throughput microarray experiments to qPCR platforms from different vendors, including Servier’s reagent data sets. Servier provided scientific insights to form product requirements, while GenomeQuest leveraged its bioinformatics, high-performance computing, and data management expertise.
Through this partnership, Servier receives highly maintainable gene catalogs for human, mouse, and rat and a companion visualization module that integrates all of its content with public and vendor reagent libraries. In turn, GenomeQuest retained the right to commercialize the software and know-how to help other companies with a similar requirement to integrate their own data sets.
