DNA2.0 Receives NSF Grant for Synthetic Gene Design
The goal is to create an algorithm for the optimization of synthetic gene design.
DNA2.0 was awarded an SBIR grant from the NSF to further expand its work in protein expression and to develop an automated, multivariate machine learning algorithm for optimizing synthetic gene design.
DNA2.0 is working to identify critical variables and understand their impact on protein expression. A multivariate array of genes will be synthesized in DNA2.0's gene manufacturing facility and then tested. The resulting multidimensional sequence-expression landscape will be modeled and the resulting algorithm will be incorporated into Gene Designer™, a freely available software for the design of synthetic genes.
