SCRA,
a global leader in applied research and commercialization, held its fall
Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) meeting at its Applied Research Center in
North Charleston, SC last week. The group, formed in 2010, is comprised
of critical business development allies who advise and assist SCRA in
the execution of the Company’s market and business development programs.
SAG members represent various SCRA client constituencies, including
government, industry and investment sectors. Retired US military flag
officers, senior government executives and technology industry leaders
form the group, including notables such as General Barry McCaffrey,
Ambassador David Wilkins and former SC Governor Jim Hodges.
“Last week’s meeting was extremely beneficial,” said SCRA CEO Bill
Mahoney. “The SAG members are key resources in creating and closing
business cycles, and we are very gratified at their affiliation and
support. Our SAG program is a primary reason why we secured record
year-ending backlog at the conclusion of FY12. We are excited to start
new strategic initiatives and execute successful business development
pursuits that enhance our capability to further South Carolina’s
Knowledge Economy.”
