Gene Link sells directly to all customers in the United States. Gene Link has a network of over 26 distributors worldwide who resell Gene Link products.
Gene Link is a leading supplier of custom oligonucleotides, particularly ultramodified oligonucleotides. Such oligos may be RNA, DNA, 2'O-methyl, or chimerics. Gene Link offers all commercially available modifications, fluorescently labeled probes, and specialized probes such as Molecular Beacons, TaqMan, and FRET, as well as a wide variety of other molecular biology products such as linkers, adaptors, DNA purification, and clean-up kits.
Gene Link’s product line of gene detection systems comprises reagents and reagent systems to aid scientists in the detection of genetic disorders. Product focus currently is on triple repeat disorders. These include Fragile X, Myotonic Dystrophy, and Huntington disease.
Also available from Gene Link are kits for research purposes for genotyping Sry, X and Y, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. Gene Link’s research and development department is dedicated to discovering new techniques and methods leading to better quality products.
Since inception, Gene Link has relied on developing a group of core competence products and consistently maintained excellence to be a hallmark of identification and establishing a niche market share. This business philosophy is particularly important for businesses that are constantly competing with multinational conglomerates.
Oligos up to 250 mer: Gene Link is the only known company that can synthesize custom DNA oligonucleotides up to 250 mer in length and RNA up to 125 mer in length. We also can synthesize such oligos with a mix of complex modifications, based on a customer’s specific requirements.
Triple Repeat Gene Detection Systems: Gene Link’s line of nonradioactive gene-detection systems are unique and all ancillary gene detection products and reagents are supplied to scientists worldwide.
SmartBase™ Modifications: Gene Link synthesizes complex oligos, siRNA, FISH probes, and molecular probes that incorporate numerous modified bases and backbone modifications designed to impart increased nuclease resistance, duplex stability, and other specified enhanced properties.
