Rating:
Strong Points: Excellent Coverage
Weak Points: UniGuide??

Summary:
Here’s another link site that is notable primarily for the vast amount of territory it covers. The UniGuide Academic Guide to the Internet contains a great collection of links, but is puzzling, not just for the question of “What the heck is a Uniguide?”, but also for the claim of being an “Academic Guide”. The unsuspecting visitor will go to the site expecting to find a collection of academic institutions sites linked therein (and there are some), but will be pleasantly surprised to discover a wide-ranging collection of hierarchically organized links in broad topics such as Biological Sciences, Computer/Info Sciences, Education, Geosciences, Engineering, and others. Drilling down a little deeper, the individual headings are further subdivided and at the bottom level one finds links to a zillion nonacademic places of considerable interest. Perhaps the designers of these pages should consider a more accurate, descriptive name than they currently have.
