Rating:
Strong Points: Images
Weak Points: Too narrow a focus

Summary:
Don’t be misled by the word ‘Geology’ in this site’s title. The name is an unfortunate one as it gives visitors the mistaken impression of being about geology when, in fact, it is a collection of 3-D images maintained by the Vertebrate Paleobiology Lab at the University of California at Davis. An extensively, taxonomically organized collection of images can be ‘grabbed’ and rotated, zoomed, or moved at will by users. If you’re looking for 3-D images of mollusks and similar creatures, this site is probably right up your alley. Other visitors will probably do like I did and ‘play’ with the 3-D reconstructions, but that is probably about it. Your mileage on this one will obviously vary depending on what you’re after. A bit more information to accompany the images is needed, at a minimum, to provides visitors with important details.
