Rating:
Strong Points: Powerful analyses
Weak Points: Very techie, few descriptions

Summary:
CPAAP is an acronym for Conserved Key Amino Acid Positions. Analysis of CKAAPs using the database provides help to researchers interested in understanding the relationships between protein sequence and structure. It accomplished this by providing access to analysis of structurally similar proteins, but with dissimilar sequences. Using such a method, key residues within a common fold may be identified. Two different structural alignment algorythms (CE and FSSP)are employed and the analyses are promised to be improved as more and more structures get discovered and refined. This is a site mostly for techies who are into protein structure. If you don’t know what the CE and FSSP refer to above, this site probably wont work for you.
