I would disagree.  The reality of "bioterrorism" does not live up to the overblown hype of the last decade and a half.  The fact that there has been no real bioterrorist attack in the entire history of mankind is a credit ot this statement.  And the Antrax letters, in my opinion, do not consisitue a bioterrorist attach.  The bioterrorism that we're taught to fear would be a much much larger scale.

The enginuity, resources, and secrecy needed to successfully maintain and implement a bioterrorist attack are held by very very very few groups or nations.  Censoring scientific data in the name of national security is utter nonsense and should not be condoned by anyone having any connection to hypothesis driven driven research or science in general.

Reverse Genetics may have already created Human Newcastle Mutations (NDV) (Human Avian Strain) - restriction may be too late.

Scientifically Studying Ecstasy

MDMA (commonly known as the empathogen “ecstasy”) is classified as a Schedule 1 drug, which is reserved for compounds with no accepted medical use and a high abuse potential. Two researchers from Stanford, however, call for a rigorous scientific exploration of MDMA's effects to identify precisely how the drug works, the data from which could be used to develop therapeutic compounds.

Do you agree that ecstasy should be studied for its potential therapeutic benefits?
