The fight against the HIV/AIDs epidemic continues. Learn about it and where we are today in this graphic from the USC Keck School of Medicine.

Since the very first case in 1981, HIV and AIDS continue to plague humanity.  Though not as prevalent as it was 20 years ago, that doesn't mean that the threat is over. This infographic from USC, Master of Public Health Online shows that in 2011 alone there were 2.5 million new reported infections. Thankfully the United Nations and the World Health Organization are making plans and developing ways to bring these numbers down, and moving toward the goal of ending the spread of HIV AIDS with “Rush to Zero”.
