The ACLU recently filed a lawsuit against Myriad Genetics claiming that patents on two cancer-related genes were unconstitutional and invalid. This is the latest in a series of battles over an almost 30-year period on the question of whether human genes should be patentable or not, although courts have continually ruled in favor of human gene patenting. What is your opinion?
