President Obama signed an executive order reversing President Bush’s policy that has limited federal funding of human embryonic stem cell (hESC) research to the handful of cell lines in existence as of August 9, 2001. It was in fact part of a broader memorandum to separate politics from science. President Obama said this decision was based both on religious belief and the immense amount of support for hESC research. In spite of this overwhelming support, there are still those who remain unconvinced of the technology’s ethics or its potential. So we’d like to have your opinion on the matter.
