DNA pharmaceutical production research to be funded for three years.
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) awarded Plasmid Factory a grant for its research into the production of DNA pharmaceuticals.

The grant will support the comparison of AB-plasmids to DNA-minicircles and the development of processes for large-scale production and quality assurance for three years.

Plasmid Factory currently develops plasmid DNA without the genetic elements for resistance against antibiotics and without other selection markers.
