Lonza formed a strategic manufacturing alliance with Solvay Pharmaceuticals whereby Lonza will produce a selection of Solvay’s large volume API’s (active pharmaceutical ingredients).
“The outsourcing is in line with Solvay Pharmaceuticals strategy of shifting selected manufacturing activities to high quality, competitively-priced alternatives,” states Francesc Junyent, senior vp manufacturing and supply of Solvay.
