GCS and Hamilton to Develop Benchtop Cell Culture System

    Global Cell Solutions (GSC) and Hamilton Company will collaborate to develop and market a benchhtop cell culture system, the BioLevitator™, that will be coupled with GCS’s 3-D cell culture substrate, the GEM™.

    “By integrating the cell culture capabilities of the BioLevitator technology with the auomated liquid handling and dispensing capabilities of Hamilton’s STAR workstation and instruments, Hamilton and GCS will deliver a number of solutions for  a range of life science applications, including high-content screening, regenerative medicine, and stem cell research,” says Andreas Wieland, CEO of Hamilton.

    “Scientists will be able to monitor multiple cell cultures simultaneously, improving the quality of cells produced and allowing them to produce more relevant data faster and in a more consistent fashion.”
