GATC Biotech is to open a new
sequencing laboratory in London in January 2010. From February the new facility will offer GATC’s overnight sequencing service, NightXpress. Using NightXpress, customers’ DNA samples will be collected free of charge from 5 pm at defined GATC Sample Collection Points. The sequencing results will then be ready for download by 9 am the next morning, including Saturdays. The NightExpress service has been available in Germany since 2007. In the U.K. it will initially be offered to customers in London.
