The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute announced the official opening of Dana-Farber’s Molecular Cancer Imaging Facility in Boston’s Innovation District. The 50,000-square-foot, research center, supported by a grant from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, features Boston's first cyclotron dedicated solely to cancer research and is expected to allow Dana-Farber to advance drug discovery and accelerate the delivery of innovative therapies to patients.
Officials say the Center will deliver a comprehensive platform for determining drug efficacy within days, versus weeks or months, ultimately shortening the time it takes for new drugs to reach patients.
