Caliper Life Sciences inked a nonexclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Access Genetics to market Caliper's LabChip GX microfluidic system for molecular diagnostic applications. Access Genetics will incorporate web-based software, materials, and protocols that the company developed specifically for use with LabChip GX.
The LabChip GX system provides laboratories offering DNA diagnostic testing with a platform for automating numerous molecular tests on a common instrument system. It is an automated electrophoresis instrument that utilizes microfluidics chip-based technology to provide high-resolution nucleic acid analysis.
