Access Genetics to Offer Caliper’s LabChip GX as Molecular Diagnostic

  • Caliper Life Sciences inked a nonexclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Access Genetics to market Caliper's LabChip GX microfluidic system for molecular diagnostic applications. Access Genetics will incorporate web-based software, materials, and protocols that the company developed specifically for use with LabChip GX. 

    The LabChip GX system provides laboratories offering DNA diagnostic testing with a platform for automating numerous molecular tests on a common instrument system. It is an automated electrophoresis instrument that utilizes microfluidics chip-based technology to provide high-resolution nucleic acid analysis.

Scientifically Studying Ecstasy

MDMA (commonly known as the empathogen “ecstasy”) is classified as a Schedule 1 drug, which is reserved for compounds with no accepted medical use and a high abuse potential.
