DNAnexus represents a new paradigm in DNA sequence storage and analysis, marrying cloud computing infrastructure with scalable systems design and advanced bioinformatics. From the very beginning, our design has been guided by the idea that “Megabase” has been replaced by “Gigabase” as the unit of sequence data, and that Terabase sequencing runs and large-scale whole-genome sequencing will soon be the norm.
