University of Maryland News Desk: The Cicadas Were Here

Speaking of cicadas, I couldn't resist adding another site on the topic whose subtitle caught my eye— "The Cicadas Were Here! The Cicadas Were Here!" Okay, before you groan too loudly, remember that I only get to do this once every 17 years. At the site, you'll see significant differences from the previous one, including very good organization of content, attractive photos, and a light attitude, reflected in topic areas that range from Fun Facts to Cicada Recipes. In case you were wondering, the site also reports that cicadas are not kosher. Though I was less pleased with this site's educational content (and broken links and lack of a real title), this site and the previous one together provide fairly comprehensive coverage of an unusual topic.
