Summary:
I give this site credit for its nice design. What can I say—the colorful, animated graphics just make you excited about seeds! Containing information contributed by the CNRS/Bayer CropScience and seed biology INRA/AgroParisTech laboratories, seed-proteome.com currently offers many resources related to Arabidopsis seed research. Included in these are protein maps and catalogs for seed germination proteins, protocols for various germination and protein assays, and links to genomic and proteomic databases. This seed endeavor does seem to be growing (no pun intended…well, maybe a small pun intended), as some of the links are under construction. Most noticeably, it appears that the next frontier beyond Arabidopsis is the sugar beet (who knew?), as this entire section of the website is under construction. As information continues to be added, I’m sure that seed-proteome.com will blossom into an even more useful site for plant research than it is today.
