Summary:

For the large number of “omic” fields that have sprung up over the past few years, it’s only fitting that many online resources to assist with omic data analysis have similarly come into existence. The Omic Tools database brings these various resources together in one place. The collection is quite impressive—over 10,000 approved links thus far—and the website is easy to browse. Users can browse by omic applications (e.g., sequencing or bioimaging) or by functional analysis (e.g., genome editing or metabolomics). Each tool is provided its own page in the database, where in addition to the actual link to the tool’s website there is a general description of the resource and specific information such as its literature citation. Two other useful features of the website are the user reviews and user-submitted questions/problems about specific resources.
