Biology 4 Kids
Before you dismiss this site because of its name, I urge you to take the advice articulated on the homepage: “If you are looking for basic biology information, stay on this site. It’s not just biology for kids, it’s for everyone.” Sure, if you’ve previously taken biology courses, you will most likely find this website a bit too elementary. However, this is a great reference site if you are looking to brush up on your basic cnidarian anatomy or can’t seem to remember the difference between the ER and Golgi complex. The site is organized into six major sections: cells, microorganisms, plants, invertebrates, vertebrates, and animal systems. Within each section you’ll find that navigation becomes a bit more cumbersome—there is a navigation sidebar, but there is no clear overview detailing all of the features to be found within each section. So put on your explorer’s cap and click around.
