With complete genomic sequences in hand, powerful computing tools for analysis, and a rapidly developing new discipline of systems biology, biological scientists are clearly on the threshold of an exciting new era in understanding the science of life. Cellware is a software product created for researchers in this rapidly evolving field. Designed for modeling whole cell biochemical reactions, Cellware is a multiplatform, Java-based tool (Windows, Linux, and Macintosh) for modeling processes, running simulations, and accessing info on metabolic pathways. It incorporates information as diverse as Michaelis Menten kinetics and models of the signaling enzyme cascade. A full description of the functionality of the software is beyond the scope of this summary, so for a better look, check out the site.
