Dr. Elizabeth M. Whelan is a graduate of Connecticut College (1965). She has a Masters in Public Health from the Yale School of Medicine (1967), a Master of Science from the Harvard School of Public Health (1968), and a Doctor of Science from the Harvard School of Public Health (1971).
